SINCE the start of the coronavirus pandemic, many people have been asked the same question: where in the area where I live are the new Covid-19 cases located?

This data has not previously been available – but that has now changed with the publication of coronavirus data by neighbourhood area.

Ross-shire has been split into several areas, with the seven-day positive rate per 100,000 of population shown for each.

The districts which are searchable by clicking on an interactive map include Ross and Cromarty south-west; Ross and Cromarty central; Ross and Cromarty east and the Black Isle north and south.

An overview map of Scotland, broken down by local authority area and colour coded according to the seven day positive rate per 100,000 of population offers an at-a-glance assessment of hotspots.

It has been published by Public Health Scotland.
