VANDALS who damaged a life-saving defibrillator unit's casing in Dingwall are being hunted by police.

The vandals struck at SNP MP Ian Blackford's office at 29 High Street sometime between 3pm on Tuesday and 3pm yesterday (Thursday, July 1).

Police said those responsible had entered and damaged the "defibrillator casing".

Defibrillators have been in the headlines recently after Denmark player Christian Eriksen collapsed from a cardiac arrest during a match at Euro 2020. The availability of defibrillator equipment at the stadium was widely credited with helping to save his life, and led to a surge in interest in the installation of publicly accessible defibrillators in communities across the UK.

Anyone with information regarding the vandalism in Dingwall can call police on 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
