Police Scotland officers in the Highlands appeal for motorists to check their dash-cam footage following a housebreaking in Muir of Ord; a suspicious vehicle seen in the area at the time headed towards Inverness via Beauly

POLICE have appealed for information following a housebreaking in Muir of Ord.

The incident happened in Ord Terrace on Tuesday morning (February 18) and officers are keen to identify a vehicle seen acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident.

The vehicle is described as being the same as or similar to a light blue or silver VW Passat Estate, with roof rails and five point wheel trims or alloys.

The vehicle is known to have travelled from Muir of Ord through Beauly and then towards Inverness on the A862 between 10am and 11.30am.

Detective Inspector Craig Still said: “I am appealing directly to motorists who may have been in the area or travelling this route between the stated times, to check dashcam footage.

“Anyone with any other information is asked to contact Alness CID on 101 quoting incident 0944 of 18 February, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
