Tesco Dingwall raises almost 3k in cycle challenge in aid of the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal

A DINGWALL supermarket raised almost £3000 in a cycling challenge to support people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Colleagues, customers and local businesses joined together in Tesco Dingwall on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of March to raise money for The British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Together with other Tesco stores across the Highlands, the aim was to virtually cycle from Scotland to the Ukraine, a distance of 2137 miles.

Tesco Dingwall, cycled 264 miles with both colleagues and customers taking part on a bike kindly loaned by Mark Dryburgh at Dryburgh Cycles in Dingwall.

Tesco Dingwall raised a massive £2,978.85 over the weekend and collectively all the stores raised an impressive £13,660.00.

The stores' Community Champion, Michelle Mackay expressed her sincere thanks to all the colleagues and customers who took part and to all the local businesses who donated prizes for the event.
