Creative art from graduate program goes on display in Highland capital

WORK ranging from Nordic-inspired deer sculptures to interpretive images of the Highlands and abstract work inspired by the environment has gone on display.

It is the handiwork of the Inverness Creative Academy’s CiRCUS Artspace Graduate Associate Programme.

Seven of the cohort are now displaying in the city. in two interconnected exhibitions.

The first, Terrafabulations, with Becs Boyd, Isabel McLeish, Rosie Newman and Fiona Percy, unearths connections between humans and the environment.

The second, Cianalas, with Louise Allan, Lar MacGregor and Morag Smith, explores notions of place through paintings, video, sculpture and floor pieces.

Some of the highlights include a celebration of an 800-year-old Wych Elm tree that stands at Beauly Priory and Scotland’s complex relationship with deer.

The free exhibitions are open in the Midmills Building, Inverness, until Saturday.
