Road crash closes major Highland road the A82 both ways at Craig Dunain, Traffic Scotland confirms

A MAJOR trunk road is closed to traffic in both directions south of Inverness following a crash.

Traffic Scotland confirmed shortly after 3pm that there had been a crash on the road.

No immediate details were available as to how many vehicles were involved.

Initially describing the route as partially blocked, Traffic Scotland issued an update at 3.17pm to confirm it was now closed both ways, adding that "traffic [is] heavy in the area] and advising motorists to "use an alternative route at this time and allow extra time for their journey".
