Covid-related absences amongst staff force closure of Tarradale Primary School in Muir of Ord today

A ROSS-SHIRE primary school and its associated nursery will be closed today because of Covid-19.

Tarradale Primary and its nursery, in Muir of Ord, features on Highland Council's closed list this morning.

The school head teacher also shared the situation with parents and carers via its social media pages yesterday afternoon.

She said: "Unfortunately due to impossible numbers of staff currently with Covid I am unable to open the school or nursery tomorrow. I am currently looking for solutions for Tuesday and beyond and will email and update you as soon as I possibly can.

"I will update the phone line and Highland Council website.

"I am sorry for this disruption to our families. Take care."
