The County Community Hospital in Invergordon has reopened to new admissions today.
The ward had been closed due to a very small number of Covid-19 cases earlier this month.
Dr Adam Brown, NHS Highland consultant microbiologist, said: “We are pleased to announce that the hospital has reopened today.
“We will continue to test patients and staff in the ward for Covid-19 for the time being to maintain safety.
“We would remind visitors to the hospitals that Covid-19 guidance remains in place and to wear face coverings and wash your hands regularly during your time in hospital or other health and social care settings.”
• You can reduce the spread of Covid-19 by taking regular LFD tests and booking a PCR test if you have symptoms.
