A SMALL additional car park is to be built at Cove Harbour, Loch Ewe, after plans were approved by Highland Council planners.

The planned new car park, which measures 30 metres by 15 metres, will be located to the north of the existing parking area and slipway. The surface will be compacted hardcore.

Granting permission under delegated powers, council officers said: "The existing parking area is limited in size and there are no other alternatives for parking within Cove.

"Wile the proposal introduces built form into the undeveloped shore line, the scale of development is modest and linked to the existing harbour. Overall the impact of the small private car park will be minimal."
