Police are appealing to the public for info on two missing persons in Ross-shire

POLICE have appealed for information from the public about a 64-year-old Wester Ross man who hasn’t been in touch with family for more than a week.

The Northern Constabulary alert was issued as concerns for the well-being of David Campbell, from Aultbea, intensified - and as appeals for information on a missing woman from the Dingwall area were stepped up.

Mr Campbell is understood to have left his home address in Aultbea on the morning of Friday, March 2 and subsequently made his way to Dingwall. His current whereabouts are unknown.

He is described as being white, 64 years of age, 5’11’’ tall and of medium build with a fair complexion, blue eyes and long grey/white hair and beard.

He was last seen wearing a green ¾ length jacket, light blue jeans and black shoes.

In a statement, police said: “He has not been in touch with members of his family since his disappearance and there is concern for his wellbeing. He is not in possession of a motor vehicle.”

Any information of sightings in relation to this missing person please contact Northern Constabulary, Police Station, Dingwall Tele No. 01349 862444.

Police also renewed an appeal for information on another missing person from Ross-shire, 58-year-old Alice Jack.

Mrs Jack, described as being 5'2" tall, slim build with blonde shoulder length hair, has been missing from the Dingwall area since Tuesday.

In a statement issued on Saturday evening, Northern Constabulary said: “Enquires indicate she was in the Evanton area on this date. It is requested residents in the area consider searching outbuildings at their properties and in addition report any unusual activity that may have occurred at their properties.

“This is a further appeal and all information recieved to date is gratefully appreciated.”

Anyone who believes they may have sighted Mrs Jack or has any information which might help with Police enquiries is reqested to contact Northern Constabulary on 0845 6005703.
