XpoNorth have embraced the celebrations of storytelling and will continue the theme of 'belonging' in its digital conference in June.

The annual conference will celebrate how narratives can help to preserve heritage, connect cultures, exchange ideas and boost economies.

Storytelling will be at the heart of its programme with a diverse range of free events.

These events will include author appearances, panel talks and workshops with literary figures.

Iain Hamilton, head of Creative Industries, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and co-founder of XpoNorth, said: “We share the same passion as National Share a Story Month in highlighting the power that storytelling has to shape cultures, inspire collaboration, and foster a sense of belonging.

“This belonging theme rings true to us as over recent years, XpoNorth has truly developed into a unique cross-sectoral event where businesses with complementary skills and knowledge can come together to share ideas and opportunities.

“This year’s conference has a specific focus on storytelling and place, which will offer refreshing opportunities to explore the power and variety of the Highlands and Islands creative economy, whilst also emphasizing the global provenance of the region and how it speaks to the international marketplace”.

The event takes place on June 15 - 16.
