COMMUNITY-spirited actions in the wake of a devastating school fire have prompted the creation of a drop-off point for donations.

Highland Council this evening tweeted that Invergordon Leisure Centre is acting as a drop-off point for "any donations of clothes, lunch boxes etc" for the children affected by Monday's blaze at Park Primary School in Invergordon.

The local authority said there had been "lots of generous offers of help" for families of the children affected, who had to leave personal belongings behind during the successful evacuation of the building.

The council praised High Life Highland's staff for assisting in the setting up of the drop-off.
