FREE face masks are available in Contin as the community seeks to prevent the spread of Covid-19 following the easing of lockdown restrictions.

A range of colourful face masks, of various sizes, have been bought by Contin Community Council using special funding, and people can pick them up for free.

Writing on its Facebook page, a spokesman for the community council, said: "We need to get used to wearing facemasks. Let's try and make them cheerful and have a colourful Contin.

"The Community Council has available some lovely face masks of various sizes all made locally.

"We have bought them with special Covid 19 funding so they are free to anyone who would like to have one."

The masks are available from the food bank at Contin Hall on weekdays from noon to 1pm.

"Pop in and choose one," added the spokesman.
