"Thank you for your understanding."
Ian Kennedy, who lived near Fort William, was a

In the early days of Charles Kennedy’s political career, Ian Kennedy toured the constituency with his son, playing the fiddle to attract more people to meetings.
One anecdote, published in a newspaper profile piece in the late 1990s, said that in Skye, someone in the audience urged Charles Kennedy not to prolong his speech shouting: "Aye, we know who you are, now come on Ian give us another tune."
Charles Kennedy, the former Liberal Democrat leader, has been an MP since 1983, initially for the Ross, Cromarty & Skye constituency and then Ross, Skye and Lochaber following boundary changes.
