AN Easter Ross cemetery could be extended if planners give the proposal the green light.

Highland Council has applied for planning permission for a change of use for land near Tain.

The application is for a site covering an area of 2802 square metres next to the Chapelhill Burial Ground in Pitcalnie

The proposal to change existing agricultural land to form a cemetery is currently under consideration by the council's planning department.
