AN EASTER Ross whisky distillery is behind a special bottling released to celebrate Scotland's most popular folk music event.
A special release from Teaninich Distillery in Alness, Grace Notes, went on sale on Monday to celebrate the festival’s 30th anniversary this year.
The whisky, which has been maturing for 10 years, was selected by creative director of Celtic Connections, Donald Shaw, and is a marriage of whisky from three single casks the Alness distillery.
Mr Shaw, creative director of Celtic Connections, said: "We are delighted to celebrate 30 years of Celtic Connections with this special limited edition whisky, bottled by Glasgow's own Caskade. Much like the country’s musical traditions, whisky holds an important place at the heart of Scottish culture and Grace Notes makes for a fitting accompaniment to this momentous milestone for the festival."
Limited to just 752 individually numbered bottles, this whisky has a subtle and refreshing character.
According to producers, it perfectly symbolises 30 years of going against the grain and delivering the unexpected at Celtic Connections.
Grace Notes is available to order from Monday 23 January via caskadedrinks.com and in person from Glasgow Royal Concert Hall during Celtic Connections (from 23 Jan - 5 Feb).
