One vehicle road crash causes tailbacks at Cromarty Bridge; Police Scotland, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and ambulance crew attended; Traffic Scotland confirmed scene now clear but warned A9 motorists of 'queueing traffic'

MOTORISTS on the A9 faced traffic disruption early this afternoon following a crash at the southern end of the Cromarty Bridge.

Police Scotland officers confirmed that the one-vehicle crash took place at the busy A9 firth crossing at 12.08pm.

They said that no other vehicles were involved.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and ambulance crews attended. There were no details on the condition of the vehicle's occupant/s.

Shortly after 1.15pm, Traffic Scotland reported that the incident scene had been cleared, but warned that there was still "queuing traffic in both directions" and urged drivers to approach the site with caution.
