THE boss of a ferry company that services a Wester Ross route has spoken of his "shock" over the redundancies made by P&O.

And the CalMac chief has flagged a number of vacancies currently available within his company.

The jobs available include sixteen deck ratings earning a salary of around £37,000 on a two week on, two week off shift pattern within the Western Isles fleet.
