CalMac announces multiple Ullapool to Stornoway ferry cancellations

CalMac has announced that multiple ferry services scheduled today (January 31) are cancelled, or are at risk of cancellation due to strong winds.

The ferry service operator has also announced that their Stornoway offices will remain closed until 11am today – due to the weather conditions the causeway is closed, meaning CalMac staff cannot get to the port.

CalMac issued an amber warning for multiple scheduled services, due to winds in excess of 69mph.

Sailings cancelled due to adverse weather are:

  • Ullapool to Stornoway – 10.30am, January 31.
  • Stornoway to Ullapool – 2pm, January 31.
  • Freight sailing from Ullapool to Stornoway – 10.10pm, January 31.
  • Ullapool to Stornoway – 5.30pm, January 31.

Sailings at risk of disruption or cancellation at short notice are:

  • Freight sailing from Stornoway to Ullapool – 10.10pm, February 1.
  • Ullapool to Stornoway – 5.30pm, February 1.
