Call for donors to give blood at Raigmore Hospital session tomorrow

Dozens of appointments will be available for blood donors in Inverness tomorrow, for anyone who is able to attend.

The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service is asking anyone in a position to donate to contact them on 0345 90 90 999.

There are 65 spaces available for sessions at the Donor Centre at Raigmore Hospital tomorrow from 2.30-5pm and 6-7.30pm.

A spokeswoman for the service said: "Our blood stocks are stable at the moment, however we need to build our stocks with the reintroduction of routine operations over the coming weeks."

Advice about social distancing and donating blood will be given to people who are able to donate.
