A BOXER robot with animated expressions and silly sounds has been voted the top toy in the Highland capital.

Young toy testers, aged two to 13, rated toys and gizmos at workshops staged by the Eastgate Shopping Centre.

A remote-controlled wall climbing car was second while Boppi The Booty Shakin’ Llama was third.

The winner of a toy testers’ prize draw for a £50 gift voucher was Scarlett Stewart (2), of Milton of Leys, who visited the centre with her sister Amelia.

Jemma Nisbet, manager at The Entertainer, was delighted that the first and third-placed toys came from her store.

“We are really glad the kids had fun taking part in the toy testing – there are some great toys out there this year,” she said.

The top 10 toys were:

1 Boxer Robot (The Entertainer)

2 Wall climbing Car (Menkind)

3 Boppi The Booty Shakin’ Llama (The Entertainer)

4 Motion Control Drone (Menkind)

5. Stroll Along Baby Elephant (The Entertainer)

6 Nerf Laser Ops Pro Alpha Point (The Entertainer)

7 Revolt Flip Speeder (Menkind)

8 Table Football Set (Debenhams)

9 Chateau Kids’ Play Tent (Trespass)

10 Wall-Climbing Race Car (The Entertainer)
