Police say they have found a body during the search for Calum Mackenzie.

POLICE searching for an Easter Ross man posted missing earlier this month say they have recovered a body from a river.

Calum Mackenzie (41) was posted missing from Alness on Thursday, November 7.

Police said today that a body was recovered from the River Averon in Alness during the search.

A post-mortem examination is to take place and Calum’s family have been made aware of developments.

A police spokesman said: "The public are thanked for their assistance during the search."
