A WESTER Ross village is set to look even more attractive than usual in the coming weeks.

Hanging baskets now planted up in Ullapool will be hung up in the next few weeks.

Welcome Ullapool, a group representing the village and surrounding area, said: "Thanks to Alison at Ullapool Nurseries for allowing us to use her space again this year.

"We're looking forward to another colourful flower display."

The group consists of members from all walks of life and businesses whose goal is to promote the area and help the village to thrive.

As well as being a major link to the Western Isles via a CalMac ferry route, the village is on the route of the NC500.
