A 56-year-old woman who was almost six times the legal drink drive limit will be sentenced next month.

Marina Khotkina of Raven Croft, Culbokie appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted having 126 mcgs of alcohol in her system when she was stopped by police on Station Road, Beauly on February 25 last year.

The legal limit is 22mcgs.

Before hearing the facts, Sheriff David Harvie decided to defer sentence until February 15 for a background report.

Khotkina was disqualified from driving in the interim.
