A 31-year-old North Kessock man frightened his partner after climbing onto a roof and shouting threats at her.

Christopher Barton, of Barclay Gardens, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted threatening or abusive behaviour.

The offence took place in Barclay Gardens on July 14, 2021.

Sheriff Gary Aitken decided not to hear the full facts until a deferral date of May 5 when a background report will be presented.

The Sheriff also instructed an assessment be done on Barton's suitability for a men's domestic abuse programme.

The charge read that Barton uttered threatening remarks towards the woman, repeatedly kicked a door, climbed on to the roof, repeatedly punched a window, struck a door lock with a rock and damaged the door.
