A relationship break-up upset a 37-year-old Culbokie man so much he returned drunk to his ex-partner's house and became aggressive towards her.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Steven Cameron, of Culbo Road, Culbokie, went to the woman's home in the Black Isle village about 11.15pm on June 5 this year and entered through the kitchen uninvited.

Sheriff Gary Aitken was told by fiscal depute Grant McLennan that Cameron refused to leave and shouted and swore at the woman.

McLennan admitted threatening or abusive behaviour. Sheriff Aitken placed him under two years' social work supervision and ordered him to take part in a male domestic abusers' rehabilitation programme.

Cameron was also banned from approaching or contacting his ex for a year under a non-harassment order.
