Black Isle 55-homes plan gets green light

PLANS for two neighbouring housing schemes on the Black Isle have been given the go-ahead, bringing 55 new homes to Fortrose.

Developers Tulloch Homes can start work on the Ness Road site after Highland Council’s north area planning applications committee approved the scheme.

Plot one will feature 24 properties with a play area. A further 31 homes will go up in an adjoining plot. The scheme will be made up with single storey, two-storey, detached and semi-detached properties.

Concerns about density, incompatibility with the rural setting and surface water run-off were raised by Fortrose and Rosemarkie Community Council and three individuals.
