A ROSS-SHIRE school has been working hard to support a charity Christmas appeal this year.

Inver Primary School pupils and staff filled managed to fill 87 boxes to support Blythswood's Christmas Box Appeal this year.

With 32 children and two teachers, everyone felt proud after sending them off in a full van today.

Louise Cochran, clerical assistant at Inver Primary said: "We have been working really hard for the past few months alongside the Blythswood Christmas Box Appeal this year.

"Our wee school managed to wrap and fill 87 boxes with the help of donations from a local volunteer and finally today we waved them off on the start of their journey to the less fortunate than us.

"What a sense of achievement the kids felt whilst doing this and they were really humbled by the stories of who and where these boxes were going which gave them an even more push to get as many as they could done. We really couldn’t be more prouder of our Team Inver Children."
