Highland mother caught dealing cocaine warned she may face jail time

A DRUG dealer has been warned she may face jail for supplying cocaine.

Police found 13 grams of the class A drug belonging to Maria Stewart (30) after executing a search warrant.

The offences took place at her home in Station Road, Beauly between September 27, 2021 and January 27 last year.

Thousands of pounds of money was found around the property along with mobile phones, a set of scales and various notepads related to dealing.

Just over 13 grams of cocaine was found in a box.

She was then arrested and charged.Solicitor Rory Gowans said his client was a single mother and would need to make arrangements for care of her children.

Deferring sentence until March 23, Sheriff Gary Aitken said: “There’s only two options here – a substantial number of hours or jail.”
