Scotland's top fan-led football show A View From The Terrace is set to travel north for the first time this season – with fans in Inverness invited to join the party.

A View From The Terrace – the BBC’s long-running fan-led football programme – first aired on BBC Scotland in 2019 and has since built a huge cult following for its unique and irreverent take on the Scottish game from famous features on sheep excrement on picturesque pitches in Eriskay to unforgettable earworms about Partick T.H.I.S.T.L.E.

Filmed in Edinburgh, the independently produced programme, which began as a podcast recorded in creator and panellist Craig Fowler’s bedroom, broke the 100 episode barrier last year. Presented by Craig G Telfer, the show features a rotating cast of regular football fans Graeme Thewliss, Tony Anderson, Robert Borthwick, Amy Canavan, Shaughan McGuigan, and Joel Sked.

The programme filmed its first live show in Greenock last year, marking the start of a select number of specials filmed in front of live studio audiences on away turf in a number of towns and cities across Scotland.

Now, the A View From The Terrace team is set to take the show up north for the first time, with fans in Inverness and Aberdeen invited to join as guests in the studio.

Telfer, a host on A View From The Terrace since the beginning, said: “We’ve always wanted to make it clear what this show is built on: Scottish football supporters.

“Fan culture is at the core of everything we do. The show is entirely made by fans and presented by fans, so we can create a perspective from the supporter's point of view. Taking the show on the road was a no-brainer for us – Scottish football isn’t a tale of two cities.

“Getting the chance to take the show round the country to fans has been fantastic so far, and we’re all excited to take things up north.

“Each person selected will get two tickets, so you can bring a pal, a dad, a granny. The tickets are absolutely FREE – you can put your wallet back in your pocket, this one is on us.”

The upcoming live shows will be recorded in Inverness, at the One Touch Theatre, on Wednesday, March 27; and Aberdeen, at the Beach Ballroom, on Thursday, April 25. Both shows begin at 7pm. Tickets are allocated on a ballot basis, and those selected will be contacted by the production team. Each ballot allocates two tickets – and they’re completely free.

A View From The Terrace boasts a cast of Scottish football fans who fight, bicker, laugh, and entertain a growing audience for 20 weeks of the season on BBC Scotland and iPlayer.
