The radio show will be visiting the Wester Ross community, where locals will have the opportunity to submit questions prior to the live broadcast and are advised that “the panel prefers not to respond to local issues but welcomes questions on general issues affecting the area”.

It’s likely though that a number of attendees will have some specific local issues on their minds when given the opportunity to grill politicians.

The broadcast will be going out live, just after 8pm on BBC Radio 4, and will be aired again on Saturday (May 25).

Panellists for the event will be:

• Alister Jack, the Conservative MP for Dumfries and Galloway and the Secretary of State for Scotland since 2019.

• Anneliese Dodds, the Labour MP for Oxford East and Chair of the Labour Party.

•Christine Jardine, the Liberal Democrat for Edinburgh West and is the Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Scotland, Women and Equalities and Cabinet Office.

• Kate Forbes, the MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch and the Deputy First Minister of Scotland.

• Lorna Slater, the MSP for Lothian and is the Scottish Greens Leader.

Tickets for the event are free to book here.

Doors for the event are open at 6.30pm, with attendees seated by 7.15pm.
