Belladrum to be broadcast on BBC Alba as their summer of music continues

BBC ALBA’s bumper summer of music continues this week as the channel broadcasts live across the three days of Belladrum.

Beginning Thursday, viewers can tune into BBC Alba and BBC iPlayer to watch the Scottish festival.

Highlights will be broadcast live from 9:30pm on July 28 and 9pm on July 29 and 30, presented by Fiona MacKenzie and Niall Ian MacDonald.

Headliners this year are Emeli Sandé, Nile Rodgers and Chic and other acts include The Fratellis, Shed Seven and Passenger.

There will be a range of action from the main stage to acoustic sets and interviews.

Audiences can enjoy additional live coverage on the BBC Scotland channel from 11pm on July 29 and 30.

Not only is there live coverage, there will be highlights shows weekly from August 6 at 9pm.

There will also be BBC iPlayer-only sets from July 31.

MG ALBA director of content additionality, Margaret Cameron, said: “A summer of music on BBC ALBA takes our audiences from festival fields to urban concert halls, covering a variety of amazing talent along the way.

“We’re delighted to be back at Belladrum and to share these brilliant, eclectic line-ups with our audiences.

“Belladrum 2022 offers a rich selection of musical styles, from pop to traditional with some folk rock and Caledonian soul along the way and specially-recorded acoustic sets.”
