Barnardo’s Scotland is looking forward to welcoming customers back to its Highland charity shops on Monday – the date in the First Minister’s roadmap for non-essential shops to re-open as Covid-19 restrictions are further eased.

The charity has a few important announcements of its own including:

• Donations – The charity has received a constant stream of messages relating to donations – they are delighted to announce that shops will be taking donations from today – but stress donations should be delivered to the shops during opening hours and not left at the door, but there is no need to call prior to visiting. The charity is particularly looking for donations of spring and summer clothing;

• Volunteering – their volunteer portal has reopened, anyone looking for a volunteer role should visit the charity's website or contact their local shop;

• Bargains – the charity has received new stock from high street retailers and warehouse brands who have closed during lockdown, so there are many bargains to be had on brand new stock. And to help customers through the extended cold snap the shops will be reopening with a fantastic 50 per cent sale on all autumn and winter stock.

Money raised in the charity’s shops goes directly towards community-based services, supporting children, young people and their families in the local area.
