A coach cleaner who admitted his second drink-drive offence in 10 years was fined £940 and banned from driving for three years.

Maciej Ratajewski (51) of Bridgeview, Conon Bridge appeared for sentence at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday after admitting the offence.

He was stopped by police in Station Road, Dingwall at 11pm on March 2, 2021.

His reading was 81mcgs when the limit is 22mcgs.

Defence solicitor Willie Young told Sheriff Gary Aitken: "He was working in a fish processing plant at the time and had a long day at work. He took a significant quantity of alcohol in a short time in his car and decided to drive home."

Ratajewski will only have his licence returned when he successfully completes the extended test of competency to drive.
