People baffled by modern technology and keen to get their heads around some potentially useful devices are being invited to a new group being flagged up by Fortrose and Cromarty Libraries.

They posted: “Do you know someone who is struggling to get their heads around modern technology? Or are you that person yourself? If so, we have the group for you. Getting to Know your Techno is an intergenerational group where younger volunteers aid people in getting to know mobile phones, iPads, Kindles, email accounts and laptops.

“Sessions are friendly, include tea and biscuits and often involve a degree of hilarity. Starting on September 7 and continuing every Wednesday, we hope to welcome lots of new faces each week. If you are interested, or know someone that is, get in touch.”

Pupils from Fortrose Academy will assist at the free sessions which begin on September 7 at Fortrose Library at 10.45am.
