Ross-based data protection specialist Liz Taylor of Glenshiel handed prestigious honour at major conference

A ROSS-SHIRE based data protection expert has received a prestigious honour while addressing hundreds of delegates from around the world at a major conference.
Liz Taylor, owner of Tkm Consulting, based at Glenshiel near Kyle, was made a fellow of the Information and Records Management Society IRMS).
Mrs Taylor, who has worked in both information governance and delivery of training for the past 20 years, addressed the group’s annual conference in Glasgow last week.
She told delegates about how imperative it was to deliver and recognise success while focusing on what we can achieve instead of ticking boxes in such a dynamic working environment.
At the gala dinner and industry award night she received the prestigious fellowship honour.
IRMS fellowship is the senior level of society membership, and it is designed to acknowledge the most senior and respected information professionals. IRMS Fellowships are conferred annually following a
process of nomination.
Mrs Taylor said: “It is a fantastic honour to have been awarded the fellowship which means a lot personally and to our company as we strive to reach new heights. To join the ranks of so many talented information governance fellows is something that I and Tkm are immensely proud of.”
To become a fellow, the individual has to meet at least one of three criteria -eminence, being recognised as an expert in a particular field who has made a significant contribution to the sector and its perception to the general public; authority, recognised and respected for their knowledge and expertise in the sector, or has contributed to the development and perception of the IRMS or IM/RM sector, or seniority, typically in a senior position with a range of experience with, or who has had responsibility for, large projects or project design.
