After quitting her job in London, Joanna Macpherson moved back to the west coast to run her fathers estate in Attadale.

The house was builty in 1755, and now features in the campaign Are You a West Coaster? by Visit Wester Ross.

The campaign aims to attract visitors to the west coast and to remind locals what the area has to offer.

Attadale Gardens has views of Skye and lots of scenic paths throughout woodland, past waterfalls and sculptures, a herb garden and even a Japanese garden for guests to enjoy.

As the Nature West Coaster, Ms Macpherson said she was delighted to be featured.

"I am passionate about Wester Ross and its people, and I certainly feel that I am a West Coaster. When people come to Wester Ross, they are very impressed, they don’t realise just how magnificent the countryside is until they get here," she said.

"You can enjoy amazing views and walk for miles, and the whole experience seems to make a big impression on people. I’d love to welcome more visitors to Wester Ross who enjoy its natural beauty as much as I do.”

The filming series has already featured other businesses, with a focus on developing sustainable tourism in the area.

The remaining videos will be released over the next four weeks.

Douglas Gibson, co-ordinator at Visit Wester Ross, added: “This area of the Scottish Highlands has a great deal to offer visitors - there's a lot more to it than a quick drive through, or a one-night stopover!

"The culture, the land, and the people, have developed together over many generations into becoming something that the visitor can only begin to appreciate through taking time to explore, discover, and enjoy more about the area.

"So, we are asking people to identify as a West Coaster and come take some quality West Coast Time to really understand what we have here.”
