Scottish Ambulance Service sends both an ambulance and a helicopter to Ullapool Harbour after man breaks leg while boat was being launched

Ambulance crews were called to Ullapool Harbour over the weekend.

It is understood that a man broke his leg while a boat was being launched on Saturday.

A land ambulance and a helicopter were sent to the incident.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We received a call at 11.38hrs on Saturday 4th June to attend an incident at the Harbour in Ullapool. We dispatched an ambulance and the Helimed, and the patient was transported by air to Raigmore Hospital."

Noel Hawkins witnessed the incident and supplied these photos. He said that the response and treatment were both professional and fast.
