AN evening celebrating Gaelic musical talents was also a great fundraising success, with £4750 raised for Highland Hospice.

Taking place at St Andrews Cathedral, the concert saw a long list of artists on show and awe the public with their vocal and instrumental performances.

The event was organised and hosted by Kristine Kennedy in support of her good friend Morag McGilvray, who along with a team of 17 ladies known as "The Blister Sisters" will be taking on a huge trek in Croatia for Highland Hospice next month.

A Highland Hospice spokesperson said: "Kristine and Morag did a spectacular job of pulling all the artistes together for a superb evening of celtic entertainment. Massive thanks to all the accomplished performers for showcasing their talents and to everyone who came along to support the event."
