And he is inviting local musicians to submit their music to cuttingthruthecountry@gmail.com for a chance to play a support slot.

Medium Build grew up in Georgia with his missionary parents. He studied music at Middle Tennessee State University and moved to Anchorage five years later.

He has released four albums and an EP and has opened for Briston Maroney, Lewis Capaldi and FINNEAS. He will be accompanied by a guitarist on his Scottish tour.

He chose to perform in the Highlands because he wanted to "go off the beaten track to play shows in place that are usually under served by touring artists".

He said: "Living in Alaska reminds you of the sanctity of communities of every size."

Medium Build will be in Ullapool on Tuesday March 5. For a free ticket, visit: https://link.dice.fm/A5a7b950281f
