THE A9 south of Tain is currently partially closed due to a road traffic collision with traffic building up in the area.

Traffic Scotland confirmed that the A9 B9175 section in Knockbreck is partially blocked due to a road traffic incident earlier this morning.

Motorists should expect delays in the area and approach carefully.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.56am on Wednesday, March 1 to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on the A9 B9175 Knockbreck, near Tain.

“Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance, where crews remain on scene to assist our emergency service partners.

“No casualties have been reported.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for information.
