Pride month to be celebrated with events across the Highlands this month

HIGHLAND Pride and LEAP Sports have released their calendars of events for Pride month which runs throughout June.

A huge variety of events are taking place throughout Inverness and beyond, including drag nights, an all day party with DJ's from Household and free beach yoga.

Pride month is dedicated to celebrating LGBT+ communities worldwide and to spread the message of inclusion whilst tackling homophobia.
It is the first time LEAP Sports are hosting events in the Highlands after their recent expansion to the area.

Highlights of the month include a full weekend packed with Pride events between June 10-12 with a staggering seven events planned for the days.

The events listed so far are:

  • June 10 - Abba Tribute Act, The Gunsmiths Bar, Inverness, 9pm
  • June 11 - Carla Rae's Rainbow Meet-up, Rose Street Foundry, Inverness, 1pm
  • June 11 - Miss Scarlet Diamonte with Vicky Sponge, The Gunsmiths Bar, Inverness, 3pm
  • June 11 - Garden Party with Household and Bonzai Bonner, Innes Bar, Inverness, 3pm
  • June 11 - Jenna Ross, The Gunsmiths Bar, Inverness, 3pm
  • June 12 - No Balls Bingo, The Gunsmiths Bar, Inverness, 4pm
  • June 12 - Star for a Night, The Gunsmiths Bar, Inverness, 7pm
  • June 14 - Pride month LGBT+ meet up, Bar One, Inverness, 7pm
  • June 18 - Stand up Paddleboarding, Lossiemouth West Beach, 12pm and 2pm
  • June 18 - Autistic Pride Picnic, Bellfield Park, Inverness, 12:30pm-3pm
  • June 19 - Roller skating taster session, Inverness, 11am and 11:50am
  • June 24 - Crystal sound bath, Highland Yoga Collective, Nairn, 7:30pm
  • June 25 - Drag Queen Michelle, Mr C's Bar, Thurso, 8:30pm
  • June 26 - Culbin Woods walk, Culbin, 12:30pm
