What do you want to be when you grow up?

It's a question children or all ages encounter on a regular basis.

A glimpse into the working lives of a wide variety of people offered food for thought for Park Primary pupils in Invergordon.

World of Work was the theme of this year's learning festival offering a chance for pupils to find out more about everything from running a restaurant to being a firefighter, author or leisure centre employee.

Acting depute head teacher Lyndsay Simpson said: "I am delighted to say that we have had a brilliant week. Very busy, but brilliant. The best part for us has been all the amazing feedback we have received from each and every visitor and partner.

"They have been impressed with the impeccable behaviour, the engagement of our children and the impressive questions the children asked. We have inspired our children to think about jobs and careers they had not heard of prior to this week and the children have gained skills and knowledge along the way."

Children got a glimpse into everything from the life of an artist and construction worker to the expanding world of renewable energy development on their doorstep at the Port of Cromarty Firth.
