Suddenly but peacefully after a very short illness at home, surrounded by his family, on the 7th November, 2023, Richard Hartley Thornton, aged 84 years, of Bakerhill, Maryburgh. Retired electrical engineer with North of Scotland Hydro Electric Board (Dingwall). Devoted husband of 60 years to the late Jean, much adored dad to Claire, Bridget and Nicholas, and dear father-in-law to Andy and Linda. Proud grandad to Martin, Hannah, Charis, Matthew, and the late Neil, great-grandad to Ollie, Megan and Lily Rose. Also loving brother to Vivienne and June.
