DALMAN - (Ardross). Michele, Rebecca, Neil W and Neil M would like to express thanks for the sympathy, comforting presence and kind support following the unexpected death of Richard. Many of whom travelled long distances to celebrate his life. We are very grateful to the neighbours for their quiet help and many kindnesses through his long illness. Thankful for family, friends and all who knew him, for the expressions of support, many cards and for sharing memorable stories. Grateful for Susanne McClenaghan at Mairi Urquhart & Son for her exquisite guidance through the arrangements and to humanist celebrant Susan Foubister for conducting the service. Immensely touched by the SDRC (rowing club) for their beautiful salute with boat and oars as the cortege passed by Foulis Ferry on Richard's final journey. Grateful to Ardross Hall (of which Richard was a custodian), for providing the perfect venue and Highland Catering, who did him proud for his last, and widely praised, buffet lunch. Michele would also like to thank Rebecca for making it to Ardross from Toronto in less than 24 hours after Richard's passing to help, advise and craft a wonderful eulogy in Richard's honour. £242 was generously donated to MacMillan Nurses and RNLI.
