It was an impressive sight and an amazing show of support for the memory of a Highland teenager whose death came far too early.
Around 70 tractor drivers took part in the fundraising trA8tors EUAnite tractor run which began and ended at Lochinver harbour on Saturday, passing through Culkein, Drumbeg and Stoer.
The event is to raise money for cancer services in memory of Euan MacRae of Culkein who died from bowel cancer in 2017 at the age of just 19.
Euan, originally from Assynt, was a member of Ullapool Pipe Band and also worked in the village. Childhood friend James Morrison wanted to pay tribute and organised a sponsored tractor run dubbed TrA8tors EUAnite, inspired by Euan’s distinctive number plate on his beloved Vauxhall van.
James Morrison, who organises the run, said: "The response from people has been incredible."
The day was mostly dry with a few heavy showers failing to affect the high spirits of participants.
Euan, who was brought up in Assynt and attended Stoer school, shared a passion with James for "all things with wheels".
During his illness he received chemotheraphy at the Macmillan Suite at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, where he was treated with "unfailing care and compassion".
The run is named after the distinctive number plate of Euan's Vauxhall van, which held a special place in his heart – A8 EUA.
