THE ice was broken on a food challenge record in the Highland capital yesterday.

Setting a new record for the shortest time in finishing The Stoltman giant cone at Inverness' Castle Cones, customer Donald Maclennan managed speed through the ice cream in just four minutes and 13 seconds.

The Stoltman Cone, which was introduced by the city ice cream shop earlier this month, took the name of World Strongest Man Tom Stoltman, from Invergordon, shortly after he won the title.

With his brother Luke, they visited the shop try their namesake cone and set a challenge to the ice cream shop customers, with Tom finishing the cone in just over eight minutes and Luke setting the bar at six minutes and 31 seconds.

Since then, a new record time was set by Terry Davidson at five minutes and 52 seconds, however this was beaten this weekend by Mr Maclennan's effort.

Mr Mclennan was cheered by Luke Stoltman on Facebook after posting his video.
