Inverness golfer Bruce Thomson and Moray’s Alex Mair shared the honours at the North Scottish Golf Alliance at Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club.

Mair (37/34) and Thomson (38/33) both hit one over par cards of 71 last weekend.

In the field of 87, where only 17 cards under 80 were returned, the leading pair enjoyed three shot advantages over Elgin Professional Michael McAllan and Moray amateur Graham Murray.

Meanwhile, Inverness golfer Andrew Hutchison in class one with a 76 and Kings golfer David Chisholm in Class Two, also with a 76, took the honours in the handicap sections.
