Millburn Academy Eagles beat Charleston Knights to win Highland Bowl VI

It was a case of third time lucky as the Millburn Academy Eagles recorded their first Highland Bowl win since 2014.

The Eagles – who this time also featured players from Culloden Academy and Dingwall Academy – had also reached the final the last two years but lost out.

But they finally managed to triumph 18-13 against the Charleston Knights last weekend.

It was a close affair according to league organiser Robbie Paulin.

So he believed either side would have been worthy winners.

“The Eagles won and, if anything, they were maybe the underdogs although they did beat Charleston last week,” Paulin reasoned.

“The Knights had so many experienced players, we kind of thought that the Knights would get it, but it was a really tight game."
