CARL Tremarco was sent off as Ross County fell to defeat at Livingston as their winless run in the Premiership stretched to four games.

The full-back received his marching orders in the 54th minute after picking up his second booking of the game.

Livingston only had to wait nine minutes to make their man advantage count as Jon Guthrie scored to give the hosts their first win of the season.

Ross County made two changes to the starting line-up which drew 1-1 against St Mirren in Paisley last week.

Tremarco replaced Josh Reid at left back while Harry Paton was dropped to the bench and Keith Watson came in midfield as the Staggies elected to play a 3-5-2 formation.

Livingston missed a golden chance to take the lead in the eighth minute when Scott Pittman was three yards out unchallenged to a Nicky Devlin corner and somehow skied it over the bar.

Both teams had chances to take the lead five minutes before half time.

Livingston nearly went in front when Lars Lokotsch connected with Alan Forrest's cross as his header from eight yards out beat goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw but clattered the crossbar.

Then Billy Mckay almost gave Ross County the lead after a diving header from Ross Stewart's cross went inches wide of the left post.

The Staggies were reduced to 10 men in the 54th minute when Tremarco picked up his second yellow card for a foul on Devlin.

Livingston made the man advantage count when Guthrie beat the Ross County defence in the air to nod Julien Serrano’s cross from the left wing past Laidlaw from eight yards out.

The visitors rarely threatened to equalise as Livingston comfortably saw out victory.
